does sticky-noting a car mess up the paint?

I'm planning on covering my friends car in sticky notes for his birthday but he'll freak if it messes up his paint

2. No, it should not mess up the paint, not nough adhesive...If you want to do something fun, find a shipping department and use the pallet wrap to wrap his car...no worry about paint and it's a cheap, fun joke....

4. It shouldn't . Look at all the other elements it endures. Rain, snow, hot sun, bugs, tree sap, just to mention a few. I really don't think you have to worry at all.
5. no, and its really a brilliant scheme.I did this to a friends car several times.it is harmless to the paint, and it takes forever to take them all off. One more idea-magic shell ice cream topping.if its winter where you live this will be awesome.expensive, but awesome.
