Notes Software

Is there a software for taking notes in class?

I am buying a laptop for class use, and I wanted to know if there is a special software for taking notes or if people just type into wordpad or any of those word processors...

  1. I would imagine most people type it into whatever editing programs they have on their machines. I used to use a pen and a notebook. Clever huh?
  2. If you're on a Mac, you can use Inspiration software, which is kind of like making a brain storm. Lots of little bubbles linked to the original idea. Each bubble or whatever you choose, can be full of notes, or pictures. There are no limits and you can easily customise the format to suit your personality. Organises your thoughts laterally (more like how your brain works), rather than on a linear path (like how a word programme looks).
  3. http://www.amazon.com/1GB-ANERGE-Digital-Recorder-Backlight/dp/B000N1YY26 Products like above link is what i use in my university. It is usb device with storage,mp3 player and voice recorder. I use it as standalone voice recorder, recorded lecture and copy that voice file in my computer for later reference and writing important notes later on in my computer.
