Notes Software

Can anyone recommend suitable notetaking software for just writing notes and organising them at a later date?

I often come up with lots of ideas but never have time to file them straight away so I would like to be able to organise these notes afterwards and maybe search them as well.

  1. I use Keynote, a great, free open source program. Adware and spyware free. http://sourceforge.net/projects/keynote/ You can read more about it here: http://www.tranglos.com/free/keynote.html
  2. This site does software: http://www.3m.com/us/office/postit/digital/digital_notes.html If you have MS Outlook for email, then you have post-it-notes in that. Spreadsheets like MS Excel are an easy way to store notes. If you have MS Access then it would be very easy to write a simple db application.
  3. I like zulupad it allows you to put links from one note to another http://www.gersic.com/zulupad/
  4. you should have a notepad on your computer, left click on start, all programes, then scroll through the lists.
  5. http://www.sherrystephens.com/design/06webdesignplanningirritate.html I like this one as it stays in my taskbar and I can leave them on the desktop if necessary. called sticky notes it's freeware too, never a fee.
