Notes Software

Is there any software that i can use for taking notes at school?

I need help, I want to thake some notes at my school in the laptop and i dont want to use word, does anyone know any program like that?? Sorry for my english, thanks

1. The simplest one to use would be Notepad which you can find by going to Start>All Programs>Accessories>Notepad.
