Is there are software that notes while playing the keyboard? looking for a software that notes whatever you play on a keyboard. if there is a software like that, i'd like to know what it is, and i want to buy it. heh. any help here?

mac note-taking software in which you write notes in one long document and can search and organize by time? I've downloaded trials of several programs for notetaking, but I don't like any of them. I just want to be able to hit one keyboard shortcut to start writing and one to save and add a time and date to the end of a thought. Then be able to search and have the program organize the notes by time and date or by keywords.

Is there any software that can turn sounds into readable musical notes? I would like to take the 'bass lines' from a recorded song and try to turn the chords into readable musical notes. And, before you say anything about tabs or, copyrights, I am the manager of a band that has a bass player who constantly works out of town, and I'm wanting to learn the bass to our songs so I can step-in when he is out of town.
