What is the best software for notes taking for MacOSX? I'd like to take notes with my MacBook in class during lectures in College/University. What is the best software to use in order to take notes? The software should be easy and fast to use and should provide nice support like inserting figures, creating graphs, tables, drawing schemes and so on.

Music transcription software that writes down notes? Is their any software out there that will allow you to upload a song (like an .mp3 or .mp4 format) and it will write down the notes for you? I've heard of software like Cubase, Logic and Sonar but apparently these write down the notes while your playing which is not what I am looking for.
